Reliable Veteran Housing in San Antonio, TX
A Pleasant Space, LLC in San Antonio is a personal care home serving seniors and disabled veterans with RN-guided residential care. Founder Amy Pleasant, an Army veteran and registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience, including 20 years as an RN Case Manager, leads every aspect of care. Her years caring for her father with early Alzheimer's and her mother's dream of a group home shaped a mission that treats each resident like family.
The Heart Behind Our Home
This home began as a daughter's promise. After Amy's mother passed in 2017, Amy was entrusted to care for her father, soon diagnosed with early Alzheimer's. Her mother always dreamed of a home for elders, and Amy's three decades in nursing, including ten years within DoD and VA systems, became the foundation for that vision. A Pleasant Space now honors that legacy by offering seniors and disabled veterans a peaceful home where their stories are known and their service is honored.
Guided By Clear Values
Every decision in our home begins with one question, whether it protects safety, dignity, and peace of mind. RN oversight supports early recognition of health changes, while a small, residential setting reduces overwhelm and loneliness. As a Black, Latino, female, and veteran-owned home, we welcome diverse backgrounds and traditions with respect. Families stay closely involved, and communication is direct and honest, so you always know how your loved one is doing and what to expect.
Guided Purpose, Lasting Care
Our mission and vision center on dignity, safety, and heartfelt service for seniors and disabled veterans. We provide a peaceful home supported by clinical expertise, compassionate daily care, and unwavering respect. Every action reflects our commitment to honoring each resident’s wellbeing and life story.
